Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center, a cutting-edge cosmetic plastic surgery center and medical spa in the Dallas Fort Worth area recently welcomed a new doctoral-prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Brenna Merrifield, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, to their team. She specializes in cosmetic medical procedures and aesthetic skin rejuvenation.
Merrifield graduated from Mansfield High School and is a proud native of Mansfield, Texas. Merrifield attended Baylor University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated with honors. Merrifield later graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
Merrifield excelled in both leadership and academics while attending Texas Tech University, serving as class president and on the Dean's Advisory Board. Additionally, Merrifield was selected to deliver the keynote address at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at her graduation ceremony and graduated as the class Valedictorian of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
Since Merrifield began her nursing career in 2017, she has demonstrated a strong passion for cosmetic surgery and aesthetic procedures. Merrifield adds a unique and valuable perspective to her work at the Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center with Dr. Michael Thornton, as she is also a team member of the plastic surgery department at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Merrifield successfully completed fundamental and advanced injection technique courses for neuromodulators and dermal fillers, demonstrating her proficiency and safety in aesthetic injections. In addition, Merrifield was individually educated by Dr. Michael Thornton to adapt his skilled injection procedures in addition to these instruction courses.
