Furthermore, the criminal defense attorney says that terroristic threats carry penalties of 3-5 years in jail, a fine of up to $75,000, and a probationary period. However, if the threats were made during a state of emergency, it may be punishable with 5-10 years in jail, a fine of up to $250,000, and a probationary period.
