Oklahoma City, Oklahoma -

ClearSight, a vision correction clinic based in Oklahoma City, OK, has recently released an article explaining the EVO Visian ICL procedure for vision correction that they provide to patients in the Oklahoma City area. The article describes the procedure and its various benefits, and answers questions that are often asked about the procedure. The EVO Visian Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) is a LASIK alternative for patients with moderate to severe myopia, dry eyes, astigmatism, thin corneas, or any combination of such conditions.

A spokesperson for ClearSight says, “EVO Visian ICL can be a better option than LASIK for many people and does not involve the removal of any corneal tissues. Laser vision correction is life-changing, and EVO Visian ICL has produced remarkable outcomes for our patients. The EVO lens used in this procedure is a lot like a regular contact lens, but unlike contact lenses, EVO lenses are completely maintenance-free and UV protective. Best of all, phakic intraocular lens implantation, such as the EVO Visian ICL lens, is quick, and you can see improvements in your vision almost immediately.”

In the EVO Visian ICL procedure, the advanced collamer lens is implanted in the eye, in front of the natural lens. It is positioned behind the iris to make it invisible to any onlooker. They want to point out that a good candidate for EVO Visian ICL is a patient with a higher degree of myopia, with or without astigmatism, or patients who have dry eye syndrome or thin corneas. The typical candidate for EVO Visian ICL is a person who wears contacts or eyeglasses. It is important to note that unlike the other vision correction procedures, age only plays a minor role in determining whether a patient is eligible for the procedure. And those who have been informed that they are not a candidate for LASIK or other kinds of laser eye surgery, may be eligible for EVO Visian ICL.

There are a number of popular benefits from EVO Visian ICL. First of all, it can be used to treat more levels of nearsightedness, compared to LASIK. Second, the vision correction results have been observed in several studies to be as good or even better than that for LASIK for high prescriptions. Third, the ICL procedure is virtually painless, fast, and the results are immediate. And lastly, it is removable in case the patient’s prescription changes or other vision issues arise.

And with regards to safety, EVO Visian ICL has established a great track record, with more than one million ICL lens implanted to date in 63 different countries. It is also reversible and the implanted lens can be removed at any time and it does not permanenty alter the shape and structure of the eye.
