Great Falls, Virginia -

Great Falls, Virginia-based pest control company Backyard Bug Patrol has announced that its Tick and Mosquito services for the 2022 season have officially ended and it is now accepting contracts for the same service for the upcoming season that starts early next year. Readers can find out more about the company by heading over to its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BackyardBugPatrol.

In a statement released last week, the company said, “This is our official last week of the Tick and Mosquito service for 2022. If you have any questions or problems, please give us a call as we wrap things up. Next season's tick and mosquito treatments will begin in early spring so that we can eradicate the adult ticks that have become active and get ahead of the mosquito breeding season. We'll be offering early sign-up discounts in January and February, with seasonal contract specials. We are taking early renewals with discount specials now, in advance of next season. If any customers wish to book service for next year, the payment for which won’t be due until January, please let us know and we'll get you squared away for the season. For commercial customers and customers with Indoor Pest plans, we will continue to schedule your treatments as required.”

Backyard Bug Patrol offers two basic services in its service area, encompassing Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia, to fight against mosquitos and ticks. After signing up for its Barrier Spray programs, the company sends over its licensed applicators to spray the yard with solutions that not only knock pests dead but also coat the leaves, bushes, and other plant matter with a protective barrier that repels any further intruders.

Backyard Bug Patrol’s Flower Power Program Package uses a synthetic derivative of the Chrysanthemum flower to kill and repel ticks for up to 3 weeks at a time. The formula used is a milder concentration of the active ingredient found in the shampoos recommended by doctors to treat lice in children’s hair, flea and tick collars, pet shampoos, and mosquito nets used in African nations and other tropical countries. It is virtually odorless and cures onto the foliage within 30 minutes of application.

The company’s Simply Organic Program Package is a 100% organic and completely natural formula that is certified by the USDA’s National Organic Program. The active ingredient in the Simply Organic Program is either Rosemary Oil or Cedar Oil. Unlike other organic products that merely repel ticks and mosquitos, the formula used by the Simply Organic Program eliminates existing pests. Due to its organic formulation which eschews the use of preservatives, it has a short shelf life and thus needs to be reapplied every two weeks during the season. The formula smells similar to BENGAY topical gel or a cedar closet but dissipates within a few hours.

Homeowners or commercial customers who sign up for Backyard Bug Patrol’s Barrier Spray Programs don’t have to worry about setting up an appointment for every spraying. The company’s applicators will arrive on schedule automatically and finish their tasks as stipulated in the contract. The Barrier Spray programs can also be supplemented with the company’s Stink Bug Barrier Program Package, Tick Tunnels, and the Ant Barrier Program Package, in case those pests are a relevant issue for a customer’s property.

Backyard Bug Patrol has been commended for the effectiveness of its Barrier Spray Programs, the punctuality and professionalism of its applicators, and the company’s excellent customer service. Its Google Business Profile, which can be visited at https://goo.gl/maps/6zRWtU89Ri82, has a near-perfect aggregate review score of 4.9 out of 5.0 from over 115 reviews.

One of the customers of its Barrier Spray Programs for the 2022 season reviewed the company’s services by saying, “We have been using Backyard Bug Patrol's mosquito barrier treatments for many years and we've been very pleased with the results! Our backyard used to have so many mosquitoes that our kids would be bitten every time they went outside to play. But Backyard Bug Patrol has drastically reduced the number of mosquitoes and gnats in our backyard so that my kids now enjoy being outside again.”
