Lighthouse Treatment Center Celebrates Sobriety at the Orange County Recovery Rally

Anaheim, California - The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol treatment facility in Anaheim, California, joined the 2nd Annual Orange County Recovery Rally on August 20, 2022. The event, organized by The Purpose of Recovery, brought together resources for the community in celebration of sobriety.

The Orange County Recovery Rally featured a variety of activities and resources, including live music, food, and information booths from local organizations. The Lighthouse Treatment Center had members of its Alumni Program gather together to participate and volunteer at the event.

Sara Alba, Alumni Coordinator at the Lighthouse, said that taking part in this event was an amazing initiative, “Our alumni showed up to volunteer and be of service to others. This is something that we’re passionate about at the Lighthouse - helping our alumni achieve sobriety while at the same time, provide opportunities for them to give back to the recovery community.”

David E., a member of the Lighthouse Alumni Program, said that he looked forward to attending the OC Recovery Rally this year, “It’s so inspiring to be a part of something that helps so many people. I appreciate how the Lighthouse always helps me connect with others in recovery and how this event gives me purpose.”

Donnette D., another member of the Lighthouse Alumni program, shared her excitement about being invited back to volunteer at this event, "Attending these events with my Lighthouse family has taught me the value of showing up and using opportunities like this to make a positive impact in my community.”
