St. Simons Island, GA - New Perspectives offers an effective community-based program supporting neurodiverse young adults in Georgia with their goals of integrating into a life of independence.

The neurodiverse youth-focused company is highly recognized for its individualized approach to independent living. They emphasize on every student having a unique, individualized plan rather than a formulaic, cookie-cutter program schedule. In Independent Living for Young Adults in Georgia, this approach incorporates a customized and individual coaching approach through personalized and socialized engagement for each client.

“Each student’s schedule is the result of a continual process of collaboration with their coaching team,” according to the New Perspectives team. Through this process, the students and the teacher can reach mutual agreements upon “goals in the manner and rhythm best suited for their unique personalities and challenges.”

New Perspectives also uses a motivational approach based on current research and best practices. “Rather than isolating students from real-life situations and experiences, we immerse young adults in the local community,” they say. Instead of traditional “in-office” counseling sessions, New Perspective teams provide in-the-moment coaching and support in more natural environments.

Likewise, New Perspectives values the rights of its students. They explained that rather than an overly restrictive attempt to prevent poor student choices, they accept that a young adult has the right to choose. They allow students to have a say on the programs crafted for them.

New Perspective Young Adult Value Journey starts with a Growth and Balance Plan. The plan is not a one-time event but an ongoing process involving five important phases: Envision, Assess, Strategize, Commit, and Review. The next phase is about Levels of Support. At this stage, student needs are further discussed to identify the support they need.

Lastly, having a Success Team. Each student’s “Success Team” comprises members from the New Perspectives staff and community members. New Perspectives provides life coaching, peer mentorship, social and recreation monitoring, employment and career, recreation, and residential monitoring.
