Los Angeles, California -

Los Angeles, CA - Addiction experts agree, celebrating milestones and successes is important for people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Recovery successes, both large and small, get special attention every year in September for National Recovery Month. Muse Addiction Treatment Center in Los Angeles is commemorating the observance month by celebrating its strong and proud recovery community. Muse’s clients are also expressing their gratitude for the alcohol and drug rehab that helped them find success in recovery.

“This place got me back to my old self. I can’t even begin to tell you all how much I loved my time there,” wrote former client Lyric A., one of many people who have left enthusiastic five-star Google reviews for Muse.

National Recovery Month was established more than three decades ago and celebrates the achievements of recovering addicts and alcoholics. The observance month also seeks to educate the public about the realities of substance use and mental health disorders. Recovery Month is led by Faces and Voices of Recovery, an advocacy group that’s “dedicated to organizing and mobilizing the over 23 million Americans in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, our families, friends, and allies in recovery community organizations and networks, to promote the right and resources to recover through advocacy, education and demonstrating the power and proof of long-term recovery.”

Muse Addiction Treatment Center in Los Angeles is part of a network of accredited alcohol and drug rehab centers with locations in California, Texas, and Tennessee. They provide the full continuum of care in addiction treatment including medically assisted detox, residential and outpatient rehab, as well as several long-term relapse prevention programs. Treatments at Muse are customized for each individual’s needs. Therapies include the latest behavioral and cognitive approaches, which are integrated into traditional 12 Step or SMART Recovery programs. Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs (VIOP) are also available for clients who are unable to attend treatment in person. Addiction treatment at Muse is often provided as part of a dual diagnosis along with underlying mental or emotional conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.

Muse’s approach made all the difference for former client Gilma G. who said, “Muse recovery and God saved my life! After drinking for over 20 years I went to Muse for help! Thank you and your team for your guidance in my sobriety, without you I would not be sober today.

Muse is one of a small number of detox and rehab centers that allow couples. Chelsea O. thanked Muse for the treatment she and her husband received there. “This place is honestly amazing. The staff is so great! My husband and I were accommodated and made to feel comfortable, and got the treatment we needed! Thank you to all the staff for helping this happen!!!”

Alexis W. shared her experience of detoxing at Muse. She said, “The staff at muse saved my life... I used to do a shot of heroin before and after everything I did in my life and I was extremely unhappy I had no idea how miserable I was until Muse helped pull me out of my addiction and my depression. They help you through the withdrawals by tapering you off and they make you as comfortable as possible, and the medical staff will check on you every hour of the day to be sure that there isn't anything else they can do to make you feel any more comfortable. The therapist and case managers are there for you whenever you need to talk and they will advocate for you and make sure that even after the detox that you have somewhere that you can continue your sobriety journey where you are safe and taken care of.”

Maria B. urged others still locked in active addiction to reach out to Muse. “If you’re looking for a good place to go get help this is the right place! All the staff is full of love and is willing to go above and beyond,” she said.
