EarlyBirds is delighted to share that they were recently featured in The Australian Business Journal’s (ABJ) ‘10 Australian SaaS Companies to Watch in 2021.’ The feature highlights the platform’s mission to combine the resources of innovators and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive actionable innovation. The full article can be found on the ABJ’s website or at the following link: https://theabj.com.au/2021/07/04/10-australian-saas-companies-to-watch-in-2021/.

As the ABJ notes, the world is well on its way to making machines and technology an even more integral part of life than they already are, and platforms like Early Birds seek to give innovators the tools they need to bring this future to life. According to EarlyBirds founders Kris Poria and Jeff Penrose, the platform was built to facilitate open cooperation between various Innovators, Subject Matter Experts and Early Adopters and other interested parties who may otherwise not have the resources to push their projects forward.

The ABJ notes in their introduction that, “In the 21st century, software has become an integral part of business. Revolutionising the way we do business, Software as a Service (SaaS) providers have emerged in just about every industry imaginable. SaaS is a software distribution model, where a cloud provider hosts applications and enables availability for these over the internet. For the everyday person, SaaS might not mean much. For business owners however, SaaS can be the one thing that saves them dozens of hours per month, thousands of dollars per year, countless headaches, and the ability to do things they never thought possible.”

The publication later explains how EarlyBirds fills this role in its own unique way. It states, “Through the EarlyBirds platform organizations can source disruptive innovators quickly. SMEs deliver specialized programs to solve specific business or technical challenges and provide ongoing innovation as a service. EarlyBirds’ Open Innovation Ecosystem includes over a million innovators and over a hundred SMEs, and it continues to grow.”

The Australian Business Journal also points out that EarlyBirds is looking for all kinds of participants, from brand new startups to both mid and large-sized organisations alike that can make the most of the platform’s key offering: human expertise. In brief, EarlyBirds gives early adopters the ability to review a vast number of projects and decide which one’s they want to contribute to (assuming they do not wish to request a particular solution for an existing problem of their own). EarlyBirds also stands out from other platforms and ecosystems since it primarily offers an open ground for innovators and early adopters to meet, not necessarily competing with any specific niche.

“EarlyBirds innovation platform is different as it provides unique, innovative and disruptive solutions,” concludes the ABJ. “This way, their clients can solve business and technical challenges in a way that accelerates innovation and promotes growth. Overall, the EarlyBirds is an extremely valuable platform that provides many great advantages for organisations looking for agility and the capability edge.”

As a platform that launched in September 2019, after conducting market research, the company found that some Early Adopters could not list their challenges due to commercial sensitivities or security concerns. As a result, the company created a third pillar to the EarlyBirds platform. Subject Matter Expert (SME) independent consultants who are available to work with Early Adopters to define and resolve their business challenges.

The platform is always keen to work with new members who fulfil any of three vital roles, what the platform identifies as innovators, early adopters or subject matter experts / consultants (SMEs). Those interested in becoming part of the EarlyBirds open innovation ecosystem are encouraged to visit the company’s official website and read more about these roles to determine whether they have anything to offer or might find what they need via the platform’s existing members. Additional information regarding each role can be found here too.

Furthermore, founders Kris Poria and Jeff Penrose can be reached for further details. The team is passionate about driving actionable innovation, and they are more than happy to help interested parties to understand their vision for the future. Learn more at Earlybirds.io.
