Manzano’s RV Park, a small, family-owned, and operated campground on the outskirts of Silver City, New Mexico, is celebrating one year under new ownership.

The new owners released a statement talking about the previous year saying, “First and foremost, we are delighted to be a part of the special memories that each and every one of our guests have made here in Manzano’s RV Park. We thank you for making us a part of your life for the briefest moment. We hope that everyone that visited us over the last year enjoyed the use of our facilities. The purchase of the park during the pandemic was quiet, and the transition was slow and smooth. We are now fully settled into the park and its operations. We will continue to improve the grounds and amenities while welcoming new and returning guests. For over 20 years Manzano’s has welcomed returning guests as well as new ones who are just passing through or stopping for a night or two on their way to somewhere else. We invite everyone who has already been here and those who are looking for an authentic New Mexico adventure to come visit us and enjoy the truly special experience that we have lovingly crafted. If you have any questions about the park, its history, Gila National Forest, Silver City, or any other part of the beautiful New Mexico landscape, make sure to give us a call and we will answer all of them promptly to your satisfaction.”

Manzano’s RV Park was established in 1999 and was purchased in 2020 by John and Barbara Mucciacciaro. It is located in the foothills of the Gila National Forest and is surrounded by pinon, juniper, and oak trees. The elevation of the park is 5,900 feet and it offers 14 acres of tranquil scenery. The park is a short, 5-minute drive to the historic downtown Silver City. It is close to the Gila National Forest, the Gila Cliff Dwellings, the City of Rocks State Park, the Catwalk, and the Kneeling Nun. There is also a hospital and a Super Wal-Mart nearby.

There are several ghost towns nearby including Shakespeare, the legendary ghost town southwest of Lordsburg that was once visited by the likes of Billy The Kid, John Ringo, Curley Bill, Russian Bill, The Clantons, Jim Hughes, and Sandy King to name a few. There are 28 points of interest in the town that capture the essence of the Old West. There are daily guided tours that include the interiors of seven historic buildings.

The park itself has 25 available full hook-up camping sites out of which 14 are “pull-through”. All of them offer stunning vistas of the New Mexico landscape. All the camping sites offer features such as electricity (30 & 50 Amp), water, sewer, trash, and picnic tables. The sites can accommodate up to 40+ feet. There is free high-speed Wifi for the guests along with shower & laundry facilities.

The park charges $35 per day with a minimum two-night stay. The park also offers weekly packages at $210 per week. The guests can also call the park administration to find out the price for the monthly package. The site prices are for 2 guests and 2 children. Additional guests over 18 will be charged an additional $5 per day, $25 per week, and $50 per month. The rates include water, sewer, garbage, and a 5% lodgers tax. There is a $20 fee for cancellations.

A recent Google review by a satisfied customer said this about the RV Park, “Doesn’t get any better than this! The park and facilities are well cared for and clean. Trees provide privacy and shade. John and Barb host barbecues throughout the week creating a friendly gathering place to visit with others. They go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant.”

The park accepts all major credit cards for payment. The park’s administration can be contacted at the phone number (575) 538-0918 or at the email address contact@manzanosrvpark.com for inquiries.
