Westminster, Maryland -

In response to the Colonial Pipeline shutdown, Tevis Energy was called upon to provide assistance. Working with Mansfield Oil, Tevis Energy deployed 12 fuel drivers on May 11th from Westminster to start the journey south. Their task is to provide fueling to one of the country’s largest delivery fleets as they maintain operations in the region.

The Colonial Pipeline was hacked by a criminal organization known as Darkside, according to the FBI. This hack resulted in a disruption of the fuel supply chain providing almost half of the diesel and gasoline to the Eastern portion of the United States.

Tevis Energy will have drivers staged in 3 sectors; North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Working with Atlas Oil, they also will be deploying 1 truck in the Baltimore/D.C. region to provide fueling to another major US delivery company’s fleet as they maintain operations in the region.

“As of today, there is a total of 20 drivers that have been deployed, along with a manager to help support. This is the largest Emergency Response Team that we have ever deployed. They are such a great team, and we are confident they are all up to the task and will represent our company very well,” says Matt Hurley the Commercial Fuels Manager at Tevis Energy.

Kyle Price, Tevis Energy’s Vice President said, “We’re fortunate to be in a position to assist the Southeast Region of the United States with much-needed resources and the various petroleum products that are foundational to daily life.”
