EarlyBirds Partners with the Chief Innovation Officer Summit

EarlyBirds, the company that runs the Early Birds Marketplace, a business to business (B2B) open ecosystem that allows innovators (startups, scaleups and mature), early adopters, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs industry and domain) to get together, is pleased to announce they have partnered with the Chief Innovation Officer Summit, which is presented by the Innovation Alliance. This will allow the EarlyBirds audience to get a 20 percent discount for an ‘Access All Areas’ pass. The Chief Innovation Officer Summit will be held on May 12, 2021 and will bring together more than 500 innovation leaders from a variety of industries. These are innovation leaders from the world’s biggest companies and various start-ups.

The speakers at the Chief Innovation Officer Summit include: Anjali Saraf, Head of Enterprise Innovation at Twilio; Michael Vormittag, Head of Innovation & Partnerships at Mercedes-Benz; Natalie Silverstein, SVP and Head of Innovation at Collectively Inc.; Chloe Mackie, Chief Product Officer at Doozy; Heather James, Event Director at Innovation Alliance; Scott Weiss, Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House; Tara Stevens, Head of Innovation & Growth at Just Group; Deepak Jose, Head of Business Strategy & Analytics at Mars; Markus Schreyer, SVP, The Americas & Business Innovation at Design Hotels; Ori Carmel, Chief Innovation Officer at Kings College London; and more. Heather James will welcome the participants to the summit at 6:15 pm PST.

At 6:30 pm PST, Adriana Lakatosova, Platform Strategist at ING, will talk about “Beating the Innovator’s Dilemma.” She will discuss how to find opportunities not just to thrive in the current Passion Economy but also to help grow the business. This is based on the observation that businesses are moving away from an economy of commodities production for mass consumption, and are moving towards the Passion Economy where it is unique skills and individuality that will build, grow and capture audiences.

At 7:15 pm PST, Chloe Mackie, Chief Product Officer at Doozy, will discuss, “Data-driven innovation - How do you kill ideas fast?” She will focus on the importance of testing and getting real user feedback to ensure that one is not just making assumptions.

At 8:00 pm PST, Anjali Saraf, Head of Enterprise Innovation at Twilio will focus on “Accelerating Innovation: How Different Companies Thrive.” She will discuss how companies will thrive in a post COVID-19 world as they shift from survival mode to recovery and growth.

At 8:45 pm PST, Michael Vormittag, Head of Innovation & Partnerships at Mercedes-Benz, will discuss “Why a Positive Business Case Alone is Not Enough – How to be Successful in Corporate-Startup Collaboration.” He will explain how using the right strategy, positioning and the appropriate stakeholder management on both sides will help in boosting the chances of success for a startup project.

At 9:30 pm PST, Tara Stevens, Head of Innovation & Growth at Just Group, will talk about “Crisis: The Innovation Accelerator.” She will provide a formula for leaders and doers to help businesses deliver change during a crisis.

At 10:15 pm PST, Scott Weiss, Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House, will discuss “How Human-Centered Design is Transforming Government.” He will present examples of how human-centered design, customer experience initiatives, and creative partnerships are stimulating scalable change across government.

At 11:00 pm PST, there will be a panel discussion on “Embracing the New Normal.” The panel members will be George Alifragis, Corinne Murray, Jordi Rafols and April Walker, from Altima Telecom, RXR Realty, Innoget and Microsoft, respectively.

At 12:00 am PST, May 13, Markus Schreyer, SVP for The Americas & Business Innovation at Design Hotels, will discuss “A Collective Approach to Strategic Innovation.” He will discuss new consumer habits post Covid-19 and the strategies for turning them into opportunities for strategic innovation in various industries.

At 1:15 am PST, there will be a panel discussion on “The Element of Trust.” The panel members will be Ori Carmel, Hanna Helin, Heather James and Jordan Sun from Kings College London, London Stock Exchange Group, Innovation Alliance and City of San Jose, respectively.
