Sewer Repair and Replacement in Seattle Washington

Seattle, Wash. – World Plumbing Day 2021, was celebrated on March 11th by plumbers across the globe. The annual event recognizes the vital work plumbers perform every day. World Plumbing Day also helps spark a better understanding of how the plumbing industry protects the public’s health and safety, sustains communities, and helps protect the environment through safe sanitation practices.

World Plumbing Day was created by a team effort at the World Plumbing Council (WPC) in 2010. The Council worked with both the United States Congress and the United States Senate to pass a bipartisan resolution which properly declared March 11 to be World Plumbing Day. This year, plumbers around the world celebrated the special day with educational events, competitions, seminars, and various other covid-friendly activities.

In a statement to the World Plumbing Council, United States President Joe Biden acknowledged the essential services plumbers provide. He said, “Today, we honor the hardworking plumbers and other trained professionals who work tirelessly to bring water - trickling down from our highest mountains and up from our deepest aquifers - into our homes and offices. These workers stitch communities together and help connect all people to this precious natural resource. Access to clean water and effective wastewater treatment systems is the right of every community…”

The World Plumbing Council is an international organization that prioritizes the goal of “Working to ensure everyone has access to safe, reliable water,” It promotes products and services to achieve the best possible plumbing solutions for people around the world. They also encourage the growth and development of the plumbing industry. The Council was officially established as an association under Swiss law in 2000.
