North Texas is adding COVID-19 vaccination hubs, with the city of Plano receiving two new pods, in order to meet demand. The State of Texas will be getting another 332,750 first doses of the vaccine and will order 216,350 more as second doses, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. The new first doses of COVID-19 vaccines will be sent to 212 providers in Texas, including 82 hub providers. The Texas health department has clarified that the second doses are allocated to the providers based on the number of first doses they have received, which means that people will be receiving their second dose from the same provider who gave them their first dose.

Of the two vaccination hubs for the city of Plano, one is a vaccine mega-hub that will be found at the John Clark Stadium parking lot of the Plano Independent School District. This particular vaccination hub will be vaccinating residents of Collin County. The Collin County Health Care Services has contracted Curative to run this particular hub. The other state-designated vaccination hub will be at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Plano.

The Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is requesting residents of Texas who qualify under Phase 1B of the state’s vaccination plan to schedule their vaccine appointments via its MyBSWHealth online portal. Any Texan can join the list but some priority will be given to patients of the health system. Those who want to create an account for the online portal can do so through the Baylor Scott & White website or app. They have also designated a telephone line for vaccine information.

Plano local businesses have been awaiting such developments regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Some have even posted blogs about this, such as Bobby Jivnani Dental Clinic, a dental practice in Plano owned by Dr. Bobby Jivnani, DDS. Dr. Jivnani is a native of Plano and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Baylor College of Dentistry. After completing dental school, he acquired his dental practice from one of his former professors who had been practicing for over 30 years. He is an active member of the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society.

Dr. Jivnani provides dental care to both adults and kids as young as six months old, including all general dentistry procedures, such as deep cleaning, fillings, dental crowns, wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, root canals, Philips Zoom! whitening, and Invisalign®. Aside from general dentistry services, he also offers restorative and cosmetic dental services. He says, “Our practice philosophy is to provide excellent dental care through conservative procedures to restore our patients’ confidence and smile. We always ensure that our patients are informed and well-educated regarding all of the alternatives that are available to them. And we always utilize the most up-to-date materials and technologies to provide the best possible dental care.”

Concerned with the health of his patients, Dr. Jivnani has recently posted a blog, titled “New Plano Vaccination Hubs,” to inform residents as to where they can get the COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. Jivnani has always set out to make his dental practice distinctive from other clinics. As such, while many dental practices often refer their patients with complex conditions, the Bobby Jivnani Dental Clinic is able to handle nearly all dental or oral surgeries that may be required by patients. That the dental services provided are top quality is attested to by the more than 470 highly positive reviews received by Dr. Jivnani on Healthgrades and Google. He has also been named as D Magazine Best Dentist for 2020. His dental office has been completely updated to provide the latest dental technology and he is also an oral maxillofacial surgeon, aside from practicing dental and oral surgery for almost 20 years.

Those who are interested about the services provided by the Bobby Jivnani Dental Clinic and other announcements may want to check out their website or contact them on the phone.
