Duluth, Georgia -

Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, based in Duluth, Georgia, has revealed that they have an online music school where musicians can obtain a certificate in music and technology from the comfort of their own home. Learning music online allows students to minimize the risk of COVID-19 and it also makes learning music easier and more convenient. AIMM's Online Certificate in Music and Technology: Concentration in Guitar or Bass is an online music program for guitarists or bassists that want to master their instrument and learn valuable music production skills, including mixing, tracking, and mastering.

Nite Driscoll, President of Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, says, “As an AVID Pro Tools Training Partner, AIMM can offer students the opportunity to become incredibly savvy with Pro Tools and learn the best insider tips and techniques their favorite professional producers use.”

He continues, “Our nationally accredited Online Music and Technology Certificate program consists of 36 credits that are fully transferable to the Associate of Applied Science in Music and Technology Degree. Financial aid is available for those that qualify.”

This Certificate program is 100 percent online and the courses that make up the program are designed to provide the required education to enhance their musical and engineering and recording abilities. The program is for the immediate instrumentalist who also wants to become educated in recording and engineering, which opens opportunities for them in the evolving music industry.

Graduates of the program may be able to get more demanding and better-paying jobs as musician, live sound engineer, or producer. Some of the resources and benefits provided by Atlanta Institute of Music and Media include: job placement after graduation and a broad musical curriculum experience.

Aside from selecting either a Bass or Guitar focus, the Online Certificate in Music and Technology is designed to provide students with knowledge and experience in beneficial music production techniques, such as recording, mixing, and mastering, using AVID Pro Tools and Ableton Live.

Notable alumni from Atlanta Institute of Music and Media include: Kesha Lee, an engineer who won a Grammy award for “This is America” with Childish Gambino; Tosin Abasi, founder of the rock band, Animals as Leaders, and has created his own line of guitars; Jay Foye (KEYZ), who co-produced the top hit, WAP; and Turbo the Great, a producer who became popular for his work with Gunna and his debut album, Drip or Drown 2.

It should be noted that federal financial aid is also available at Atlanta Institute of Music and Media for students who can qualify. AIMM is at present administering a number of Title IV Federal Aid Programs: federal Pell grant, federal direct financing, and federal Direct PLUS. All applications for federal aid will require some supporting documents that will need to be submitted at least 30 days before the first day of class.

Those who study at Atlanta Institute of Music and Media get to enjoy several important benefits. One of these is a work-study program, which is vital for those with financial difficulties because it allows them to obtain a part-time position within the school’s campus departments. Another important benefit is the broad musical curriculum experience provided because the students can experience musical flavors from the different genres, including, classical, rock, jazz, blues, R&B, and folk. Furthermore, students may be able to earn a job placement after graduation. Students can work with a placement specialist to come up with a resume during the final quarter of attendance, after which they may start exploring in-field employment opportunities.

The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media students have also gone on to work with popular musical artists and companies, such as Ludacris, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Childish Gambino, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, Ciara and more.
