Los Gatos, California-based Simply Green Plumbing is reaching out to share how members of their community may independently identify various water line plumbing issues. In particular, the company hopes that their insight will help local residents learn to identify such problems at every stage of their development.

Despite being one of the most common plumbing issues in any household, water line problems remain one of the most difficult plumbing issues to identify. These issues can potentially go unnoticed for weeks until the source of the symptoms is addressed correctly. By the time they become evident, however, plumbing issues are likely to cause thousands of dollars in damages to the property. The only way a homeowner can prevent this is by staying vigilant about the plumbing situation of their homes, looking for the earliest signs that can tell whether or not they are experiencing one of these unfortunate issues.

"When you think about water line damage, the first thing that comes to mind is water leaks. While this is correct, you need to be aware and on the lookout for the other issues that come along with it," says Lisa Green, owner of Simply Green Plumbing. "The water leak in your property may not be visible until the damage has proceeded to a significant extent. Slab leaks, for instance, can threaten the very foundation of your home. If you want to prevent having to indulge in expensive repairs, you need to be aware of some of the least common signs of damage, especially ones that do not typically come to mind when thinking about water line damage."

The best action to take when a water line problem is suspected is to call a professional plumber for an immediate inspection, Green explains, but there are also a few other steps that homeowners can take to assess the situation on their own. Some of the signs of a broken water line are of common knowledge, while others are only known to specialists. Fortunately, Simply Green Plumbing describes all of these extensively in the hope that this will help the community save money on repairs and gain peace of mind.

Green says, "One of the first signs of a broken water line is reduced water pressure throughout the house. It may be a negligible difference at first that escalates as the water line damage progresses. Eventually, you may even get to the point where there is no water coming from your taps. At this point, you should have noticed moist or damp patches around the area where the broken water line is. Look for lush or damp patches on your lawn, or standing water pooled in your yard, and you will find the source of your problems."

Some other hints of a broken water line include unusual noises like banging or whistling, mold or mildew growth and, in the most severe cases, one can also observe cracks in the home’s foundation, driveway or pavers. The only way to address the problem at this point is by reaching out to a plumbing maintenance and inspections specialist, who will then take care of the issue and address it at its source.

"Our team can help you replace old water lines with new, up-to-date options, such as copper. Our goal is to help you find the perfect solution for your particular concerns, whether it’s improving efficiency, reducing problems, saving money — or all of the above," says Green.

Through the company's Google page, where they enjoy a near-perfect review rating of 4.5 out of 5 Stars, Allen Rudolph says, "Dave and his crew are efficient and highly competent professionals. They kept me apprised of their progress, they finished the job quickly and they did excellent work. You can count on them for a careful evaluation of the problem, and they will let you know of recommended repairs in a friendly manner without any pressure. The office staff is friendly and responsive also. Highly recommended for your plumbing needs!" The California plumbers are known to offer a wide variety of services at an affordable price.
