With the restrictions slowly being lifted to now accommodate open houses, Carson Realty’s top broker, Yvette Acuff, talks about the new guidelines Real Estate In Bluffton SC set to keep open houses safe for buyers, sellers, and agents.
Over the past few months, safety protocols have been set to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Many businesses, including real estate, have been greatly affected by the restrictions set by the government. “Open houses have been put on hold for many months because of the pandemic,” Yvette Acuff of Carson Realty mentions.
Virtual house tours have risen in popularity because of the prohibitions in open houses, but according to Yvette Acuff, it still cannot replace the desire of buyers to see and feel the house before giving an offer.
“While online tours may be convenient especially during the pandemic, but as soon as we can, we would like to go back to hosting open houses to give our buyers the assurance that they need," she adds.
This October, Yvette Acuff of Carson Realty hosted an open house in Bluffton, SC, and she shared some of the new practices and preparations that real estate agents and brokers now need to observe to ensure that their open house is safe and adhering to state regulations during the pandemic.
While different states have different guidelines, generally, wearing facemasks at all times, physical distancing, and the use of sanitizers are some of the most common practices that sellers and real estate agents in Bluffton SC must strictly comply with when hosting open houses.
“Most houses would also have forms with questions pertaining to COVID-19 exposure and some will also require you to wear gloves before you can touch surfaces,” Yvette Acuff of Carson Realty adds with regards to the safety measures when conducting open houses.
Yvette Acuff, one of the top brokers of Carson Realty, also emphasizes the importance of sanitizing the whole house after every open house visit to ensure that all contaminated surfaces are cleaned, and the house is ready for the next client.
She reiterates, “The safety of our clients is our main concern during this pandemic. We must do our part in helping stop the spread of the virus while ensuring the satisfaction of our clients at the same time.”
With more than 40 years of experience in real estate, Yvette Acuff is considered one of the most sought after associate brokers not just of Carson Realty but as well as all over the Lowcountry. “We want to help sellers get the best value for their home and buyers to find their dream house that will give them their money’s worth.”
