Pensacola FedEx Shipping Store Highlights New U.S. Postal Service Prices for 2021

Pensacola, Fla. – The Warrington Pack & Ship Business Center is a local FedEx shipping store in the Pensacola area. The shipping store is highlighting the recently announced 2021 United States Postal Service price changes. Overall, prices will be increasing for the upcoming year. The price changes are scheduled to take effect on January 24, 2021, should no other changes be implemented. The current proposed prices would increase the price of all first-class mail by 1.8 percent and other categories by 1.5 percent.

The United States Postal Service's list of example products includes five in total. All letters and flats that weigh one ounce or less will continue to cost 55 cents and one dollar, respectively. The cost for additional ounces for letters will increase from 15 cents to 20 cents. Additionally, metered letters of one ounce will increase in price from 50 cents to 51 cents. The cost of all domestic postcards will increase from 35 cents to 36 cents once the changes take effect.

Although postal rates are increasing in January 2021, the U.S. Postal Service is proud to still be able to offer some of the lowest letter-mail rates in the industrialized world. The Postal Service Board of Governors has already approved the recent price increase, and the agency believes this is the best way to keep rates competitive while also providing the much-needed revenue increase for the agency.
