A Local School for Dental Assistants is Highlighting a Florida Dental Radiographer Certification Class

Pinellas Park, Fla. - The Dental Assisting Institute is a well-known school for dental assistants in the Pinellas Park and surrounding Central Florida areas. The dental school is thrilled to highlight its Florida Dental Radiographer Certification Class (X-Ray course). The X-Ray certification class is a day-long course for those seeking further certification in an already established dental assistant career.

To enroll, candidates will need to have at least three months of on-the-job experience as a dental assistant and have been previously trained by a licensed dentist on dental x-rays. The X-Ray certification class encompasses a variety of radiographic functions, including but not limited to digital radiographs, proper X-ray alignment and technique, infection control, X-ray protection, doses, and much more.

The course is offered in a blended format combining online study and a clinical skills portion in the state-of-the-art dental facility. Students will receive their certifications once they have demonstrated the needed skills in a clinical setting and passed the online exam with a grade of 75 percent or higher.

The Florida Dental Radiographer Certification class is offered monthly alongside Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) courses. The Radiographer Certification class is 325 dollars for students, but students who take EFDA classes as well are given a 50-dollar discount off the combined total of both courses.
