Dallas Law Firm's Principal Attorney Recognized for Excellence 12th Year Running

According Super Lawyers, the selection process for inclusion involves 4 steps. First, peer attorneys who have witnessed the nominee work in his primary area of practice first hand must nominate the attorney. Next, Super Lawyers research staff compile points for the nominee based on 12 indicators such as experience factors, verdicts or settlements, academic achievements, pro bono service to others, and other such distinctions.

Third is a "blue ribbon review" which involves assembling a pannel of additional peers with experience in the nominees practice areas. The panelists review and rate the nominee on a scale of 1 to 5.

Last, nominees are grouped according to the size of the firm they are with. For example, solo attorneys are compared with other solo attorneys rather than attorneys from large firms. The top 5 percent based on prior steps are selected for each state for inclusion on the final published list.

Super Lawyers has an additional distinction called, "Rising Stars" which pertains to nominees with the additional distinction of being a Super Lawyers selection under the age of 40 or with a practice for 10 years or less. 2.5 percent of the list are awarded this additional distinction.
