Nomberg Law Firm Receives Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group 'Rising Star' Award

Bernard Nomberg of The Nomberg Law Firm, based in Birmingham, Alabama, has been selected as a 2020 recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Award by the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG). This award is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishments in service to WILG and have recently become involved in working with the organization. Nomberg was presented with this award at the WILG Annual Convention in early October. This award’s significance is magnified as WILG is the national non-profit membership organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers and their families. Many of these workers, and in turn their families, suffer the consequences of work-related injuries or occupational illnesses every year. A majority of these individuals will need expert legal assistance to obtain medical care and other relief through provisions made in workers’ compensation programs. WILG is a network of like-minded advocates for workers’ rights, sharing information and knowledge, a sense of commitment and kinship and networking resources to help each other and their clients.

WILG acts principally to assist attorneys and non-profit groups in advocating the rights of injured workers through education, communication, research and information gathering. WILG was founded in 1995 by a small group of claimants' attorneys and has grown into an organization of over 1,100 members representing every state in the nation. The members of WILG include sole practitioners, attorneys from multi-lawyer firms and paralegals. WILG works every day to make sure that, as the challenges that face injured workers change, they take steps to evolve and meet those new challenges.
