Metro Laser CoolSculpting MedSpa has announced that they have recently enacted a careful check-in process to ensure that they can safely treat patients during the COVID pandemic. They have recently published a blog post that contains a video that shows what they’re doing to help keep patients safe during check-in. First of all, all of their technicians wear an ASTM Level 3 mask as well as a polycarbonate face shield in order to comply with the highest standards of safety.

The new check-in process begins with a self-service digital temperature check at the lobby. The patient simply walks up to the screen and it will measure and display the body temperature. The next step would be for the patient to inform them that he or she is there. A technician will come down to meet the patient once they are ready for the patient.

On the way up, the patient will be asked some questions about the patient’s recent activities and health. This will include any recent possibility of COVID exposure, recent travel, recent symptoms or fever, and self-quarantining. Next, they will double check the patient’s temperature and note this down for their records. They will then lead the patient in, opening all doors for the patient to minimize contact. Next, the patient will be provided with a hand sanitizer before starting the treatment. And the patient will need to sign a brief COVID release form.
