A recent study by Persistence Market Research is projecting significant growth in the compression wear industry. This market relates to compression apparel such as compression leggings, compression socks, foot compression sleeves, tights and shirts that have become extremely popular with professional and amateur athletes that are interested in getting a performace boost. The projection is that the industry, currently generating $2.38 billion, will grow to $3.23 billion by 2020. At present, the largest share of the market is found in North America, with Europe in a close second place. However, it is believed that future growth will dominate the Asian market, and India, China and Japan in particular.

"In Europe, Germany, France, the U.K., Italy, and Spain account for the majority share of the compression therapy market," states the report. "The compression therapy market is expected to expand at a significant rate over the next few years. This is due to the rising number of sports injuries in various countries, such as India, and especially the Southeast Asian countries."

To illustrate this, Persistence Market Research indicated that in the US alone, and looking solely at children and young people, 1.3 million sports injuries are reported each year, most of which will need treatment through one of these tools. The study also explained that the market is set to grow due to the global aging population. The rise of type 2 diabetes, increasing awareness of sports injuries and ways to prevent them is also believed to be an important contributor to the expected growth.

The compression therapy market can be further categorized as static compression therapy and dynamic compression therapy. Static compression therapy market comprises of compression bandages, compression garments, diabetic shoes, and others. The dynamic compression therapy comprises products such as pneumatic pump and segmented pneumatic pumps.

Focusing specifically on the US market, the company BeVisible Sports has already seen a strong growth in their business. BeVisible Sports products are in the static compression area. The company's product has grown in popularity as evidenced by the product reviews that their customers have provided. Most of these highlight the fact that the BeVisible Sports product is of high quality and they are known for their world class customer service.

Currently, the BeVisible Sports has a range of different compression wear products in their portfolio, including a full range of calf compression sleeves, foot compression sleeves, arm compression sleeves, elbow and knee sleeves.
