Armstrong Bros Plumbing President Joe DeLauder states, “Virtually nothing means more to us than our customers but the safety of our employees and our high standards come in close behind. We knew as soon as authorities began issuing safe social distancing guidelines that we would have to adapt our existing services to ensure our customers would not be left without aid in their time of need. Similarly, we have implemented several measures that are designed to maintain the safety of both our customers and employees every time we visit a home or business.”

According to DeLauder, the company has enjoyed a great deal of success keeping up with demand since the beginning of the outbreak. While much of the country came to a standstill during the lockdown, the fact that people were spending much more time at home may have contributed to the strain placed on their plumbing. As such, services providers like Armstrong Bros Plumbing were needed to keep these systems fully operational. Customers may stay up to date with the company’s latest projects by following them on Instagram, Facebook, and so on.

One such method by which the company helped their community was assisting in the restoration of cast-iron pipes. Pipes made from this material are known to last between 80-100 years but they do fail eventually, and residents are more likely to experience issues with failing pipes if the property in question was built a long time ago. To address the situation, Armstrong Bros Plumbing has been utilizing a method of trenchless pipe rehabilitation known as pipelining to repair existing pipelines. This negates the need for other, more invasive methods of pipe replacement that may ultimately be too expensive or disruptive for the residents in question.

DeLauder explains that the company uses a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) for this process, which forms a jointless and seamless internal pipe within the previous pipe. It can be used to rehabilitate pipes between 0.1 to 2.8 meters (2–110 inches) and is one of the most commonly used methods of pipe rehabilitation around the world. By the end of the process, any gaps (such as those caused by pipe erosion or structural damage) in the original piping are covered by the CIPP, eliminating any leaks that previously plagued the property. CIPP also boasts a high resistance to oils, chemicals, high temperatures and more, making it an ideal solution for an extremely wide array of circumstances.

Armstrong Bros Plumbing’s ability to respond both promptly and effectively to their customers with such non-destructive solutions has made them a favorite in the area for many years. They are often praised for their professional conduct, the high quality of their services and even their responsiveness.

As one of their customers, Fred Hart says in their 5-Star Google review, “We were pleased with the rapid response we received. We called around 2:30, and they arrived by 4:30 for a non-emergency. We were informed at every step along the way as to arrival time, etc. Joe provided excellent service and follow-up advice. He also was careful to fully clean up after the job was complete. For friendly, speedy and excellent plumbing service, we recommend Armstrong and will use them again.”

Similarly, Josh Hack shares that, “My toilet would not flush so I had Armstrong come out to look at it. They came later that afternoon and cleared everything up. The whole process was easy and the office was very nice. Great people and service.”
