Menifee, California, based MeowWiki has recently introduced an aspect of their feline-based website that has the goal of unifying cat lovers through a new and exciting way. Feline owners submit their heartwarming, cute cat pictures and stories through their website, then MeowWiki shares them on all their social media platforms. This brings about a positive impact on their growing community of followers. During this difficult time of combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, they hope to create an even larger community of feline owners that can come together virtually in support of one another.
This exciting feature on the MeowWiki website invites cat owners to submit adorable videos, pictures, and life stories of their cat and how they came to find each other. The staff then crafts attractive, interactive posts out of the submitted information and shares them on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram. Followers of MeowWiki may then comment, like, and share these posts on their own accounts. This creates a widespread, diverse community of cat lovers and allows them to share their passion for felines.
The website welcomes stories about cats from every background and breed. Whether the cat was rescued, adopted, purchased, or raised from birth, the site encourages owners to submit every amazing and unique story. Many of the posts are guaranteed to bring about laughter and smiles, while others may bring tears of sympathy. Times are difficult for everyone right now, which is why MeowWiki wants to help by offering pet giveaways for cat owners. They also donate to animal rescues.
Conveyed here are some of the beautiful stories that may be seen gracing the pages of their social media accounts. Shadow, a 4-year-old male cat, was rescued after his mother was killed on the highway. Jamie, Shadow’s rescuer, says that although he had a rough start, the sweet feline is happier than ever. Shadow spends his days playing, running, and taking baths every chance he gets.
One amusing story was submitted by Heather, the owner of a mischievous female cat named Clepto. Heather relates how, after adopting Clepto, her family noticed that she had a developed quite an amusing habit. “Without fail, Clepto is always trying to steal something from around the house. So far, her theft count is up to 5 different things that cats shouldn’t have, such as batteries, screws, toothbrush covers, hair ties, and socks. No matter what we put away, she finds something new to grab as a trinket to take to her bed,” Heather says. Yet, despite this odd and entertaining habit, Heather goes on to say, “While she has been a thief of tangible items, she has definitely won our hearts over.”
Stories, such as those of Shadow and Clepto, are only a few of the entertaining, heartfelt submissions featured on the MeowWiki platforms. Everyone across the USA is invited to submit their cute cat pictures and videos, read and share these sincere feline stories to maintain a wonderful community of animal lovers. Check out their website for valuable information regarding adopting from no-kill shelters, finding certified veterinarians, and maintaining cat health.
