Baytown Awards Store Attends West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce Career Fair

Baytown, Tex.- Awards & Engraving, a local Baytown awards store, recently attended the West Chamber County Chamber of Commerce Career Fair on March 3rd. The Chamber of Commerce Career Fair is a highly popular event that draws in many businesses in the Baytown area to display their unique businesses. The Career Fair was exclusive for students that attend Barbers Hill Independent School District, or BHISD. Awards & Engraving was excited to show Barbers Hill students more information about their growing awards company.

Students that attended the Career Fair got to talk to dozens of businesses in the community about the work they do and how they can become a professional in that career as well. Awards & Engraving had multiple awards such as trophies, medals and promotional items to display their various product lines.

The Barbers Hill students listened to Michelle, an employee of Awards & Engraving, as she described how Awards & Engraving creates all their exceptional awards. Michelle was excited to share with the Barbers Hill students what it means to be a small business in the Baytown community.

Not only did the Barbers Hill students get to hear from local businesses like Awards & Engraving about how their businesses operate, they also got practice their interviewing skills in mock interviews. These mock interviews allowed students to play the part of the interviewee and answer questions employers would typically ask job candidates. Many were asked questions that would relate to careers in corporate gifts stores in Baytown and other similar industries.

Awards & Engraving is thankful to have participated in the Chamber of Commerce Career Fair. They are excited at the new generation of students who will soon be joining the workforce, and possibly even their own team.
