Indianapolis, IN - Perseverance Pest Control (PPC) and many other small businesses have expressed concerns as the number of coronavirus deaths in the US increases, and measures by local governments to contain the virus are implemented.

Their President noted, “We have technicians working in Marion County and other areas where the virus has been reported and most of our Clients are going about business as usual, and allowing us to treat the interiors of their homes and businesses.”

PPC was among the first pest control services in Indianapolis to require their employees to stay home at the first sign of sickness, to wash hands before and after servicing clients, and to avoid physical contact with a smile and a wave. The Company mentioned, “Our Clients know that we are taking this health threat seriously, and that we have procedures in addition to those recommended by the Center for Disease Control, to help make our customers feel safe and to limit contact.”

As far as whether or not to schedule or continue pest control services during the outbreak, Perseverance Pest Control recommended that reasonable precautions be taken, and also noted that some businesses may actually be in a better position to receive pest treatments. The Company stated, “For businesses that have asked their employees to work from home, or for those services that have closed, such as schools, and some government offices, this is actually the perfect time to have the facility treated for pests. If the building’s empty we can get in and get out, and by the time everyone returns to work, they won’t even know we were there.”

Concerning impacts to the pest control industry, PPC was positive, “Those of us in the pest control business are fortunate that in most of what our service requires our technicians are not coming face to face with clients; usually it is just for initial visits and follow ups when there is an active issue. Pests carry lots of diseases so most people are pretty motivated to get them out when they’ve got an infestation.”

Perseverance Pest Control provides pest solutions to Marion and Hamilton County, specializing in the removal of bed bugs and other pests. Find out more about their local pest services here: www.ppc-indy.com
