Lighthouse Treatment Center To Host First Recovery Workshop Weekend For Its Alumni

Anaheim, California – The Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol recovery facility in Anaheim, California, will be conducting a recovery workshop weekend on March 14 and 15, 2020 at the Lighthouse campus. The workshop will focus on providing attendees a more in-depth understanding of the 12-steps program and how it can be applied in recovery.

Jocel Bibera, alumni relations coordinator of the Lighthouse, said that they are looking forward to having this type of workshop to further support their recovering alumni members. According to Bibera, the Lighthouse whole-heartedly believes in 12-steps programs to help the success of their former clients, which makes this workshop valuable.

“We at the Lighthouse are so excited to offer our first weekend recovery workshop for our alumni members. While a huge part of our alumni program focuses on having sober fun in a safe community, it’s important to us that our alumni continue to educate themselves on a program of recovery,” said Bibera.

Michael Tupponce, a former Lighthouse staff, will be the one conducting the recovery workshop weekend. According to Michael, the workshop can be very useful to people in recovery because it can provide a deeper knowledge of the life-saving 12-steps program.

“It is so important to have deep knowledge of the 12-steps program because having the “depth and weight” that comes from deep knowledge and application of the big book provides anyone in recovery multiple layers of armor from returning to the slavery of addiction. The first layer is to be worn for personal protection and the remaining layers are a gift that should be given away often. When worn by a willing person, that armor can offer the same gift of freedom the giver received,” shared Tupponce.
