According to the IIHS safety rating, EyeSight from Subaru has reduced rear-end collisions with injuries by up to 85%. EyeSight analyzes traffic movement, warns the driver when going out of the lane. The automatic pre-braking feature will stop the vehicle in emergency situations. The Rear-Cross Traffic Alert will sound if there are any objects to the side of the vehicle when backing up. In addition, the standard Reverse Automatic Braking will fully halt the Ascent to avoid hitting anything behind the car. For even more safety measures, there is a sole camera in the back dedicated to providing a 360 degree view for improved visibility.
