The firm of Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon is proud to announce that one of its attorneys, Rachel Sheffield, has been named a Rising Star by the Independent News.
Every year, the Independent News, a Pensacola news publication, awards the title of Rising Star to young professionals who were seen by their peers, clients and bosses as up and coming leaders in their fields and the community. Since the inception of the award 12 years ago, the Independent News has named over 550 men and women as Rising Stars. Several have gone on to seek and win political office.
Rachel joined Emmanuel Sheppard & Condon in August 2018 as an associate attorney. Rachel is a double Gator, having earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Business Administration along with her Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Florida.
Throughout law school, Rachel received the Fall 2016 Book Award for Trial Practice and the Fall 2017 Book Award for International Commercial Arbitration and Moot. Rachel also became a member of the Florida Moot Court Team, where she was selected to compete in The ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Boston, Massachusetts.
As a third-year law student, Rachel was one of four law students selected to compete in the International Chamber of Commerce Vis Pre-Moot in Paris, France, where she and her team placed first in the competition. Rachel also competed on behalf of the University of Florida in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. These experiences led Rachel to pursue a career in litigation at Emmanuel, Sheppard & Condon. Rachel will be working with the personal injury group and is pleased to serve clients in all our Panhandle locations.
The personal injury group has had a long history of helping injury victims receive the compensation they deserve.
