Lighthouse Treatment Center Hosts Ice Skating Event For Its Alumni

Anaheim, California – As part of its alumni program, the Lighthouse Treatment Center, a drug and alcohol recovery facility in Anaheim, California, is hosting an ice skating event for its former residents on January 25, 2020. The event will take place at the Anaheim ICE, a world-class ice skating venue where the local hockey team, the Ducks, practice.

According to Jocel Bibera, alumni relations coordinator of the Lighthouse, ice skating is an awesome way to promote an active lifestyle even during the colder months. She said that the event is open not only to the alumni but also to their families and the Lighthouse staff.

“We included ice skating in our alumni winter calendar because we wanted to have an amazing get-together that the entire family can enjoy. This year, we are excited to see our alumni, their families, and especially the children spend time together while having fun on the ice,” said Bibera.

Roy Duarte, a Lighthouse alumnus and current staff, shared that he feels delighted that the Lighthouse is letting them bring their families to the event.

“I am looking forward to the ice skating event at the Anaheim ICE because it is such a great way to celebrate the remaining winter season with our community. It is such a blessing that our families get to participate in our Lighthouse events because the kids can have a good time with us and at the same time, our families get to see us in a different light in recovery,” said Roy.
