Aaron Kosins MD, based in Newport Beach, California, has revealed that they are able to offer the best plastic surgery services through the use of cutting edge principles and methods. And because not every patient requires or wants a surgical solution, Dr. Kosins has also studied about skin health and nutrition. He always ensures that the treatment provided is custom-fitted to each patient. He also ensures that patients will always come first and that best care is provided for everyone.

Dr. Kosins has also been working actively in the development and improvement of plastic surgery techniques and principles. He has published the results of his research in various journals with regards to stem cell technology, nerve regeneration, rhinoplasty, facial aging, and microsurgery. These journals include the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Canadian Journal of Plastic Surgery, and Annals of Plastic Surgery. He has also presented his work at the American Society of Peripheral Nerve, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the annual Rhinoplasty Society meeting, and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Kosins has a dual Medical Degree (M.D.) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine and Paul Merage School of Business, respectively. He strives to be the best plastic surgeon Orange County residents can go to, thus, he continues to enhance his craft to be able to allow his patients to benefit from the latest techniques. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

One of Dr. Kosins’ specialties is rhinoplasty. He explains, “Rhinoplasty in my opinion is the most challenging operation in plastic surgery, and my passion has led me to study with amazing surgeons and to present my work at national rhinoplasty meetings and in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. I have divided the operations into primary and secondary/revision rhinoplasty. In breast augmentation, follow up operations are expected because implants should be replaced about every 10 years. However, in rhinoplasty, experienced surgeons often deal with the second, third, fourth, and even more operations. This is because this is such a difficult procedure and has changed more drastically in the past 20 years than any other aspect of aesthetic surgery of the face. I perform both endonasal (closed) as well as open rhinoplasty in Newport Beach depending on the patient, including their underlying anatomy and wishes.”

One of the advanced techniques that Dr. Kosins uses in rhinoplasty is piezosurgeery. He describes this as “rhinoplasty without breaking bones.” This method was popularized by Dr. Kosins and his French counterpart, Dr. Olivier Gerbault. This is significant because the standard rhinoplasty surgery technique literally makes used of a hammer and chisel to break the bones of the nose so that they can be moved and repositioned. With piezosurgery, the bones can be gently reformed, sculpted or cut with less swelling and less bruising. Piezosurgery is more gentle because it is more accurate and precise. In contrast, standard osteotomies have been performed with the surgeon unable to see what was happening. This new method offers the benefit of shorter recovery time for patients.

Another important and common procedure offered by Dr. Kosins is breast augmentation. This is performed using silicone or saline implants that are usually positioned below the muscle of the chest wall. Putting the implant under the breast tissue will enlarge the breast, however, this will not change the shape of the breast or the position of the nipple-areola. With the application of current methods and technologies, the patients may be able to return to their normal social activities and be out shopping or having dinner the same night after the operation. Dr. Kosins also wants breast augmentation patients to know that the implants will have to be changed every 10 years on average. Secondary breast procedures may also be performed to serve as solution for various complaints, such as deflation, implant malposition, capsular contracture, asymmetry, and implant maintenance.
