Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy announces that they have just been selected to host special Zero Balancing continuing education courses in March. These specialized massage therapy courses will be taught May 10th – 20th, 2020 in the Costa Rican beach town of Samara. The school offers several two- and three-bedroom bungalows just a short walk from the beach that those attending the school can stay in. This will help to make it a great overall experience for those attending these popular massage therapy continuing education courses.

School spokesperson, Tammy McGee had this to say about the upcoming Zero Balancing classes, “We are proud to be hosting this big event at our school. It’s not only the first time we are hosting Zero Balancing classes, but it’s also the very first time they have even been offered in Costa Rica. That’s very good news for massage therapists who are seeking an exciting change of pace from the typical hotel banquet room location of many CEU courses. Many of our students also come from other countries to learn from us because we have a reputation for providing them with a high quality, well-rounded massage therapy education. Hosting these Zero Balancing continuing education courses only adds to that. All of us here at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy are very excited for the opportunity to work with David Lauterstein and the rest of the Zero Balance crew.”

McGee also said that the course is open to all massage therapists. It is valid for license renewal in the United States and the credits that one will receive by attending the course are approved by the NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork).

She went on to mention that another unique thing about the courses that they will be offering is that those at Zero Balancing do not usually run parts 1 and 2 consecutively. Normally they are held several months apart but they have agreed to do that for this Costa Rica learning session. The spokesperson says that makes it a great opportunity for those that are interested in taking both courses to save quite a bit of money on airfare and other travel expenses if they are coming from another country. Each class will be taught Monday through Friday, so it leaves the weekend in the middle free for relaxing at the beach or taking in the many other sights in the area. Those attending can also choose to attend just the Zone Balancing part 1 course (May 10th – 15th, 2020) or the Zone Balancing part 2 course (May 15th – 20th, 2020).

More on this continuing education curriculum that this well-known massage therapy school is hosting can be seen on their website at https://crsmt.com/zero-balancing-with-david-lauterstein/.

The Zero Balancing Team will be led by David Lauterstein. He has been a massage instructor for over 33 years and 25 years of that time has been spent teaching the Zero Balancing massage technique. He is one of the most highly respected educators in the massage and bodywork realm and has three successful books out to prove that. He also has been nominated to the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame and has been awarded “Teacher of the Year” by both the AMTA and the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education.

Lauterstein described the specialty massage technique he will be teaching in Costa Rica by saying, “Zero Balancing massage therapy courses focus on adding bone and key joint therapy along with their associated soft tissue to regular massage treatments that usually only target a few soft tissues and muscle. There is a lot of energy flowing through the areas of the body that Zone Balancing targets. It allows a therapist to reach the deepest layers of a person’s musculoskeletal system. We consider it a ‘wholeness’ approach to massage treatment that is often the missing piece today in the world of bodywork and bodymind therapies."

Zero Balancing and the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy have also put out a YouTube video describing the event. It shows some of the sights and sounds from coastal Samara City where it will be held in Costa Rica. The video also features a course introduction from Lauterstein where he goes on to give an overview of the curriculum he will be teaching.
