Bali, Indonesia based Blooming Lotus Yoga has just announced the dates for their 2020 meditation retreats in Ubud, Bali. They have also released their itinerary for the duration of these events, including the various activities that will be hosted at the yoga center. All of the activities offered at the retreat are free of charge, and attendees are only required to pay food and accommodation fees if they are staying onsite, though off-site visitors also have the option of paying the fee to receive the same meals that other attendees will enjoy.

As the company notes, this year's retreat will have a significant focus on silent meditation. Students will get to enjoy the noble art of silent meditation, which is often described as a powerful tool that can help a person find inner peace and open the doors to discovering their life’s purpose. Angela, a representative of Blooming Lotus Yoga, states, "Many of our attendees have described our retreats as a life-changing experience as they have helped them reconnect with their own true selves. A retreat can help you figure out what it is that you truly want to achieve with your life, potentially setting you on an entirely different path than the one you have been traveling so far. If you find yourself unable to achieve inner peace or feel as if you can not answer any of the important questions that life throws your way, then silent meditation may be right for you."

The Blooming Lotus Yoga retreats consist of five days where visitors will attend multiple meditation and yoga classes. The core of each retreat, however, will be the three daily silent meditation sessions. During these sessions, attendees will be taught the basics of the practice, allowing them to imbibe the benefits of silent meditation. This technique includes controlled breathing methods to stabilize the mind (pranayama) and three root practices to concentrate the mind upon silence: Breath Awareness, Mantra, and Self-Inquiry.

Yoga will be another daily occurrence at the Blooming Lotus Yoga retreat, as attendees will enjoy sessions suitable for practitioners at all levels of experience. These classes will teach a fluid sequence of postures, linked with the breath, to revitalize and rejuvenate body, mind, and spirit. They will energize and heal the physical body, encouraging attendees to let go of their habitual tension and channel this subtle energy into the spine. These classes are expected to offer a remarkable experience, as Blooming Lotus Yoga is known for training some of the best yoga instructors in the world. Interested parties can discover their advanced yoga training for aspiring teachers here.

Aside from the daily yoga classes, attendees will also enjoy Yoga Nidra sessions, which are a powerful, scientific method based on ancient Tantric texts. These sessions will comprise of complete mental, physical, and emotional relaxation. Similar to the meditation classes, these sessions will help attendees let go of their usual patterns, helping them connect within and release their built-up tension, stress, and anxiety. This makes for a remarkable change when compared to the usual fast-paced life that many people are involved in, allowing both student and teacher to access different areas of their subconscious and release any negative patterns in their minds.

Lastly, the final daily activity is the practice of satsang. These sessions are described as an opportunity to live in Yoga—or Union—with the ‘Divine.’ Attendees will listen to traditional yogic teachings and reflect upon them, learning how to integrate yoga into daily life. Angela states, "These powerful sessions are instructed by Lily and Ramananda, the founders of the yoga school. They are a rare opportunity to gain insight into the teachings of the yogis and learn how to apply them into our lives so we may truly live in Yoga—Divine Union. These ‘talks’ often focus upon clarifying the path, answering questions, and resolving doubts, while also transmitting the essence of the teachings by empowering each individual to continually reflect and abide in their own True Self."

The Blooming Lotus Yoga 2020 Silent Meditation retreats will be taking place from the 5th to the 11th of May and 18th to 24th of September. Interested parties can visit the company's website and apply to attend the event. Yoga and meditation teacher training programs are also available at the Blooming Lotus Yoga website.
