Spray Foam Insulation

Raintight Decks & Screenrooms has just announced that they will now be offering spray foam insulation services. This includes both new foam installation or adding additional insulation over existing foam insulation layers. This is just one of the new ways that this O’Fallon, Missouri contractor tries to take care of the many needs of their ever-expanding customer base.

Company spokesperson, Anne Seibert, talked about why they added this service by saying, “We have become an O’Fallon and St. Louis area contractor that is very versatile. Our goal is to provide our customers with some very unique services that are hard to find in the area. Our Screenroom and underdecking solutions are great examples of this. That’s the very reason why we started offering spray foam insulation installation. Not a lot of contractors in the area offer it and it’s a product that really benefits those who choose to apply it in important areas of their homes.”

Seibert says that like all their specialty services, the crews doing these spray foam services will be led by an experienced tech that has many years working around this product. She says that ensures that the spray foam insulation application work they do will be done right and form a very effective insulating barrier on any home it’s applied in.

She also says that there are many advantages that having spray foam insulation installed offers over conventional fiberglass batt insulation. For one, Siebert says spray foam insulation is much denser than fiberglass insulation. That means it does a better job of keeping heated or cooled air inside any home. It also does not require the removal and re-installment of drywall to apply it in homes. Siebert says only small patchable holes must be drilled into the wall to get the job done. Spray foam insulation also completely fills all gaps, cracks, and crevices. She says it also works great on curved and uneven surfaces which batt insulation does fit over very good.

Siebert also said that spray foam insulation gets a bad rap because it’s slightly more expensive than rolled fiberglass insulation. She says that extra cost will more than pay for itself in extra energy savings in just a short period of time. No type of fiberglass insulation can stop thermal transfer and provide a vapor barrier as well as spray foam insulation does. Siebert says it can even be applied to floors and ceilings in places such as attics and crawl spaces.

The spokesperson went on to add that one of the first services the company became well-known for is their innovative screen room designs. This includes everything from screening in porches to screened wall systems. Siebert says they even can custom build a screen room for anyone that has a specific design in mind. They will also work with their client's design specialists to help them create the exact type of screen room they have always wanted. She says their screen rooms are made to keep out even the smallest bugs. That will make any get together, family event or relaxing evening that much more enjoyable. The company spokesperson went on to say that it’s a very economical way to create additional comfortable living space for any home.

Siebert says one of their most unique offerings is their underdecking systems. She says these systems help turn the space underneath custom decks that get wet during inclement weather into dry useable areas. This is done by attaching sheets of aluminum or vinyl to the bottom of a deck that when put together form a watertight ceiling over the area directly beneath it. Siebert says that this area can then be used for such things as to place picnic tables or create dry storage areas. They come in a variety of different colors and there is a lifetime warranty on the product.
