Cox Roofing Systems, based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, has announced a new five star customer review. The customer, Debbie Fung, had realized that the new home she had purchased had a roof with so many defects with the result that water was getting into the house. She realized that what was needed was roof replacement to be done by a reliable roofing company. She was not disappointed in the work done by Cox Roofing Systems and she even noted the 20-year warranty, which provides customers with peace of mind.

In her review, Debbie said, “I purchased a new home with Aspen Ridge Homes and had the worst experience with our brand new roof. The house is less than six months old, but the roof had so many defects that during rainy season and spring thaw, water was pouring into my new home causing major structural damage.”

She continued, “I knew the only solution to get this fixed properly was to get the entire roof replaced by a reputable, reliable and qualified roofing company. I spoke with Wayne, the owner at Cox, and he immediately scheduled a meeting at my house. He was prompt in his quotation, reasonable in price and provided a high-quality roofing system that's worth its value for years to come. It even comes with a 20-year warranty which gives homeowners like me instant peace of mind. His team including site manager Devon was professional and completed on-time without delays. I'm so happy I chose Cox Roofing Systems, and this is one solid roofing company I would highly recommend.” Those who would like to take a look at this Cox Roofing Systems customer review can check out their Google Maps page.

Among the flat roofing systems offered by the company is the TTR® Tri Thermal Roofing System, which is a unique combination of two separate roof systems. TTR® is composed of a spray applied polyurethane foam roof with a single ply EPDM roofing membrane that is adhered to the polyurethane foam using a proprietary spray applied slow rise adhesive that is based on urethane. They want to point out that experience has shown that polyurethane foam is the best insulation available in the market. This is primarily because it can cover the whole roof like a blanket in one seamless piece with no gaps or joints, resulting in reduced energy bills with an average cost savings of 25 percent.

The polyurethane roofing foam insulation that is spray applied as part of the TTR® System has waterproofing capabilities and the highest R-value. It is important to note that if a mechanical or air-conditioning contractor accidentally punctures the roof membrane, the foam roof is capable of preventing water from getting through. In contrast, once the EPDM flat roofing membrane of other systems gets punctured, there is nothing to stop water from getting through. This is because the insulation boards under the membrane that they use are not waterproof and usually retain the moisture long after the water entry event. This results into prolonged periods of moisture in the roof system, which results into substrate deterioration and faster rusting. Also, the insulation boards that are utilized in other systems are just butted together and this allows air leakage, thus reducing the effective R-value of the roof.

The EPDM membrane used in the TTR® System is available in black or white colour. The Eco White membrane is available in 60 or 90 gauge thickness. This is considered to be a green product with high reflectivity so that the roof is cooler. The Eco White membrane complies with the Cool Roof Rating Council programs and the Energy Star ratings. The TTR® System was developed by Stan Cox, President of TTR®, and has been patented throughout North America. It has been installed in a wide range of climates, from coast to coast in Canada, including the southern United States.
