Industrial Plastic Celebrates 40 Years with IAPD

Industrial Plastic Supply, Inc. of Anaheim, California has been a premier supplier of Performance Plastic materials since 1975. While the plastic sheet, rod and tube industry has been around for much longer, Industrial Plastic Supply has been a leader in Southern California for almost 45 years.

To ensure the professionalism and knowledge of all of the employees, Industrial Plastic Supply joined the IAPD, the International Association of Plastic Distribution back in 1979. This association helps build leaders through leadership training and mentoring, offers training in materials and applications, provides networking with industry leaders, and works diligently to advocate for Performance Plastics through legislative initiatives.

For 40 years, Industrial Plastic Supply has gained knowledge and expertise with the assistance of IAPD. They have used the resources that IAPD has offered, and has recruited and trained an outstanding staff. The average Client Service professional at Industrial Plastic has over 21 years of experience in the Performance Plastic marketplace.

The IAPD was originally founded in 1956 by a small group of small distributors in the mid-West. The original group founded the United Plastics Distributors Association, and later changed the name to the National Association of Plastic Distributors. As the industry matured and the focus changed slightly, a new name for the Association was put in place. The IAPD is now the International Association of Plastic Distribution, and supports the entire distribution chain.
