Google Merchant Center has just announced new features coming to the platform. Google recently rolled out interface and navigation updates for Google Merchant Center, and they announced on Wednesday that they will be adding a number of new and updated features aimed at simplifying the process of retrieving one’s product information. The new features should make the Google Merchant Center experience better for everyone involved.

The upcoming update will include the addition of automated feeds, according to an article on Search Engine Land. “We’re finally here,” says the article. “Goodbye, product feeds—sort of. Starting in November, automated feeds will be available in all Shopping ads countries. Merchants can opt to let Merchant Center crawl their websites for schema structured product data and extract it into an initial feed.” Users with structured product data on their site will find a feed input option named ‘Website Crawl’ in Merchant Center when they create a new primary feed. Google says that crawled feed data will be refreshed on a regular basis, depending on the amount of traffic the site receives from Google.

Users need not fear image disapprovals anymore, thanks to the new automatic image improvement function. Google will attempt to remove promotional text in product images automatically when users turn on the automatic removal tool in Merchant Center. While the new automatic system may be a powerful tool for anyone looking to improve the quality of the images they post, they are still advised to manually go over the changes made by the system. As Search Engine Land says, “Machines don’t always get it right, and promotional text may remain or other parts of an image might get removed. You’ll need to upload a new product image if you’re not happy with the system’s attempt to improve it.”

Among the new features is free product exposure with Surfaces across Google. Google announced earlier this year that they would begin showing product information from Merchant Center in areas outside of Shopping Ads, free to merchants. This is called Surfaces across Google and is currently available in the US and in India. It allows any merchant to upload their product feed to Google Merchant Center and opt-in to enable their products to appear on multiple Google platforms, including rich product results and Google Images.

Multi-country feeds initially launched in 2017 and was available in 37 countries. The new update will bring that number up to 95, adding 50 markets to the list. This will allow advertisers that market in multiple countries to make use of a multi-country feed to target countries that share the same language.

“These options are aimed at making it easier for merchants to get their products showing on Google, whether in ads or free listings. For Google, removing friction for merchants helps make the search engine a better resource for searchers looking for products,” says the article, and many online sellers are watching the new update closely to see how it affects the online trade industry. Sunsella is one such seller, and they are excited to see such changes happen.

The kitchenware supplier offers high quality, reliable kitchenware at a reasonable price. “Whether you’re preparing breakfast as the kids are rushing to get ready for school, making snacks before driving the kids to sports, or fixing dinner after a day of running errands, you can feel totally confident that our utensils will help you get the job done,” says the company. “All of our products are designed and engineered with you in mind, because our customers deserve the best. We hold our products to the highest possible standard in order to guarantee your safety and satisfaction, ensuring you get the best quality product possible.”

Many people have purchased products from the company’s website and found themselves quite pleased with the results. One review of one of their products, which can be found on their website, states that the kitchen implement is a, “Great chopping item, especially for difficult veggies like carrots and rutabaga. Since I have tendon issues with my hand this chopper is easier to use than a knife. It has a thick blade that is not overly sharp but scrapes up really nice. Washes beautifully in the dishwasher. The handle is very easy to grip, especially for the large handed person. I am sorry I never got one sooner. I might have enjoyed cooking more.”
