According to their mission statement, the institute seeks to provide non-beginning instrument students and recording arts students with the instructional environment necessary to develop their musical talents and acquire the skills demanded of professionals in today’s music industry. To achieve their goal, they are offering a wide variety of programs.
A glance at the school’s reviews by former students shows a record of excellence. On Facebook, the school has a rating of 4.6/5. Dayne Doucette says in his review, “The time spent at AIMM has been invaluable to me. The care taken by the instructors to ensure each students' grasp of the concepts taught has left me well equipped to face the realities of the music industry. I would highly recommend any musician or engineer at any level to consider this institute!”
On Niche, the school is rated 4/5 stars. A five star review from an anonymous freshman reads, “About a year ago, I started doing some soul-searching, wondering what I want to do with my life. I was 23 at the time, had no kids, was single, had my own apartment and car, but I wasn’t happy because I was working a job I disliked and feeling I was just living to pay bills. I knew ever since I was 11 years old that I loved writing poetry, rhymes, and raps. So, I figured I would do something in music. I started looking at the different fields I can do and came across audio engineering and audio post production. I thought those were the dream jobs I have been looking for. So then I started searching for colleges near me that have the program but none were of my liking. Then I came across the Atlantic Institute of music and media, where I’ve found my match! Down to the degree that they offer internships and jobs in overall experience and the location of the school, this is my #1 choice, and I’m excited to see what the future holds!”
“The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media has proven that it is an excellent choice for anyone in the Atlanta area wanting to get into a career in music and media,” says Driscoll. “If you are looking to have a career in entertainment, make the right decision and choose the best music school for you.”
