Comfort Keepers of Castle Rock to Sponsor Relay for Life Event

Comfort Keepers of Castle Rock will be sponsoring the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” event for Southeast Denver Communities this Saturday at 1pm at O’Brien Memorial Park. The Relay for Life is a ceremony celebrating the lives of survivors and support the fight against cancer. Participants form teams to raise money and awareness for the cause prior to the event.

The Relay will begin at 1pm with the opening ceremony accompanied by live music and special guests. Survivors and caregivers are celebrated as they take laps around the track which symbolizes the ongoing battle with cancer. Food, games, activities, and a raffle will also be available at the event, all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society for research and care programs.

Participants will be given a luminaria to decorate and honor the lives of loved ones affected by cancer. The lighting of the Luminaria is followed by a closing ceremony to thank all of the volunteers and recap the display of light, hope, and progress being made to put an end to cancer.
