iProven, a business based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has announced that they have recently released their NCT-336 BLU digital medical thermometer designed for use with infants and toddlers. This is designed to take the temperature of the infant or toddler through the forehead at a distance of 2 to 6 inches. And because the thermometer can be switched to mute, it allows parents to avoid disturbing the infant’s sleep while taking his or her temperature.

Suzanne, a representative for iProven, says, “This thermometer allows you to check your baby’s temperature without touching the forehead. This means it truly is a no-touch thermometer. It gives you results in just two seconds, so your little one won’t even notice what you’re doing. Want to check your baby’s temp while he’s asleep? The mute function on this medical baby thermometer allows you to do so without making any noise.”

She continues, “The colored display will immediately show you how serious the fever is. This infant and kids thermometer is all you need when you want peace of mind without waking up your little one.” Indeed, the display of this digital thermometer changes color depending on the temperature measured. A green display means there is no fever and there’s nothing to worry about. An orange display indicates that the temperature of the infant or toddler is a bit elevated. A red display warns the parent that the child has a fever.

This digital baby thermometer, aside from providing accurate and consistent readings, has a memory function. This means that it can save up to 50 temperature readings to allow parents to monitor how the temperature of their child is progressing.

And no parent would want to disturb the sleep of the infant or toddler who has a fever. Parents are all too familiar with young children being sensitive and irritable when they are sick. With the backlit display with a color that shows whether a fever is present or not, the mute function allowing the measurement of temperature without the thermometer beeping, and the no-touch function, parents can take the temperature of a child who is sleeping even without turning the lights on.

The digital thermometer can either be in the Forehead Mode or Object Mode. The Forehead Mode allows taking of the temperature of an infant or toddler through the forehead at a distance of 2 to 6 inches. The Object Mode allows the taking of the temperature of an object, such as the feeding bottle, the baby’s bath, or the room.

Suzanne offers some tips for parents to help them measure the temperature of their children like a professional. First, they need to ensure that they have been in the same room as the thermometer for a few minutes. Second, they need to clean the lens of the digital thermometer regularly. And third, when measuring the temperature of the baby or object, they should aim at the middle of the forehead or object at a distance of 2 to 6 inches, press the button and then release it. This digital thermometer has been calibrated for consistency and accuracy to measure temperature at a distance of two to six inches.

Customers who have already tried this thermometer have mostly positive things to say about it. For instance, Jeannette gave it a five star rating, and said, “Very nicely made. This thermometer is easy to hold in your hand, easy to grip. The no touch is great. The read out is easy to read. I encourage reading the instructions so you understand how the menu buttons work. Once you do, then this is a little gem. I would highly recommend this, especially to parents who don't want to wake a sleeping baby.”
