Zara Taking Full Advantage Of Global Ecommerce

Zara is a fashion brand that originally sold locally, that was not really taking advantage of the benefit of global ecommerce. While other companies were selling around the world, Zara was happy to just focus on their local area. When the company did finally decide to go full force ecommerce, they did it with a bang.

Mike Law is a representative of consumer household goods company Sunsella, whose products can be seen at https://sunsella.com/. Law says, “Ecommerce is something that honestly, every company should be using. What better way to reach a global customer scale? It is amazing that Zara waited so long to get into the ecommerce game, and they seemed to be perfectly content with not doing so back then. When they did finally decided to take their products to the world, they did it in a very big way, and it was really impressive.”

Zara went from doing no ecommerce trade at all to rapidly expanding their ecommerce selections to now take up more than 70 percent of their overall business. Although the company waited until 2010 to add online shopping options for customers, they have made up for their delay since, offering online shopping abilities to those in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and various other countries around the world, just since March of 2019.

“They waited, and many thought that maybe they were just not interested in marketing their products and selling them on a global scale,” says Law from Sunsella. “Honestly, any company that wants to do business in a big way has got to at least consider ecommerce. It is the only way to reach a global audience and it’s just too simple not to do it.” Law says that Sunsella has been offering online sales through their own website, as well as their Amazon store at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Sunsella/node/7914066011 virtually since they started. He says that as a company that has been part of the ecommerce world since the beginning of their own business, it is difficult to imagine a company that does not consider going global with their sales.

With Zara, the company has grown substantially since they finally started offering ecommerce options for their customers. Zara reported in 2018 that they were now offering their brands through online sales to more than 150 markets around the world. Other fashion companies, such as H&M, have been offering ecommerce for many more years and Zara is quickly catching up to them in terms of market appreciation.

Mike Law from Sunsella says that the consumer household goods industry is just as popular as the fashion industry with regards to online shopping, and even more popular in some areas. He adds that Sunsella does all of their sales online, so without ecommerce many companies like Sunsella would not have a market base to sell to.

“Some companies are built specifically for an online market,” says Law, “And that’s okay because there are consumers out there who just love to shop online. Honestly, our company would not be where it is today if we did not have the option of selling online. Ecommerce gives us the ability to sell to anyone, in any country in the world, and we can talk to those people, answer their questions and even help them to choose the right products based on their individual needs. Ecommerce is a seller’s dream come true.”

Law adds that not only is ecommerce beneficial for companies but it helps consumers as well. Studies show that shopping in general has picked up considerably since the inception of online shopping, particularly around the holiday season when many consumers prefer to simply sit at home and shop from their own comfortable spaces as opposed to getting out and fighting crowds in stores and malls.

Those who are interested in learning more about Sunsella and their own part of the ecommerce world can visit them on their official website or on their Amazon seller’s page to see their entire list of products.
