Real estate agent Anna Gerlants is currently attempting to educate more consumers on the value of professional real estate agents. She says that many buyers have regretted their decisions after making a home purchase without the help of an agent. She argues that most of these buyers would not have suffered buyer’s remorse if they had an agent guiding them.

Anna Gerlants asserts that some people think that going through neighborhoods looking for houses for sale or browsing listings online is sufficient to find a good property now. However, she says that this is not likely to yield the best results for most people. Besides the fact that most buyers lack the time to do a truly comprehensive search for what they need, she points out that these same buyers lack access to the connections agents have. As such, they may miss out on the best properties and even bargains.

Anna Gerlants points out that real estate agents are in the business of property full time. That means they are experts in the field and will likely know how to find properties that cannot be discovered by the average consumer. Gerlants goes on to say that most agents liaise closely with their colleagues, thus accessing as many listings as possible for their clients.

Aside from that, Gerlants says that real estate agents are capable of providing insight into a property that home buyers may not be able to get on their own. She concludes that real estate agents give buyers more options by collaborating closely with others to offer them the best properties on the market. In addition to that, Anna Gerlants mentions that real estate agents are better-equipped than their own clients to deal with property owners. This is because they have more experience than the average person in real estate transactions.

Property owners are more comfortable negotiating with agents and will often take advice from them when it comes to pricing. Gerlants advises people who plan to purchase homes to hire good real estate agents to do the talking for them. Even if they find a property on their own, things can still get complicated at the time of actually attempting to purchase the property. She points out that real estate agents are in the best position to help simplify matters for buyers by taking over much of the heavy lifting for them.

Gerlants mentions that because of their experience, real estate agents can also shield property buyers from liabilities. This is why she claims that a real estate agent saves a buyer’s time and protect them from unnecessary legal arguments. Gerlants further says that there are cases wherein certain features of a house must be adjusted to meet the buyer’s needs before it can be sold. There can also be a fault with the property that the sellers may not be aware of. She says that cases like these are where a real estate agent becomes useful.

“Real estate agents communicate with the seller or the owner to prepare the home property. They make sure that everything is in order before the buyer moves in,” Gerlants asserts. She says that by thorough inspection, real estate agents can identify any faults and list these for both the seller and buyer. This makes sure that there will be no unpleasant discoveries after the buyer has moved in. Buyers can just relax with the knowledge that their real estate agent has done his or her due diligence.

Gerlants says that an agent has his or her reputation to uphold, so buyers can be assured that every property is sold in perfect condition when a professional agent handles the transaction. Besides, agents can easily handle real-time queries, take buyers to the property, and give assistance with any other questions or concerns clients may have.

Gerlants concludes her explanation for the importance of real estate agents by saying that buying and selling homes is more difficult and complicated than people realize. Some people try to get out of hiring a real estate agent for these tasks because they are reluctant to pay a commission. However, Gerlants notes the usual case is that they lose more than they save in terms of time, money, and even convenience when they try to do every single thing on their own. She says that this is due to their own inexperience in the area as well as their inability to dedicate sufficient time to all the tasks that need to be done. Gerlants claims that a real estate agent can be as essential in a real estate transaction as a lawyer is in court. This is why neither a buyer nor a seller for property should go without one.

Anna Gerlants is a real estate agent specializing in residential property sales in Michigan, particularly the Metro Detroit area. Known for her talents of negotiation and home staging.
