Mike Marko Writes a Guide on How to SEO Website

Mike Marko, founder and owner of IM Consultant Services in Cincinnati, Ohio, has published a blog post on how to SEO website. Marko states that the article is intended to help business owners who want to learn how to perform basic search engine optimization for their websites. He says that SEO is a critical marketing technique because it can help increase the traffic a business website gets, as well as improve the site and brand’s online visibility. The first of Marko’s 5 steps is to list strong keywords. Marko asserts that this is where most SEO begins because it guides a good part of the search engine optimization afterwards.

“Keywords are important in SEO for many reasons,” the professional marketer states. “For one thing, they’re necessary to describe your content. Keywords tell both search engines and their users what you have in your website, and whether or not it’s relevant to what your target audience is looking for. In addition to that, the keywords you use can tell you what approaches to take with certain parts of your marketing strategy.”

Marko advises his readers to ensure that the keywords they choose are relevant to their businesses, however. He explains that irrelevant keywords have no place in a proper SEO strategy.

“Using irrelevant keywords won’t do anything for you SEO,” he explains. “In fact, it’s more likely to have a negative impact on it than anything. You want to use keywords that actually relate to your products or services. That way, you have a better chance of getting high-intent traffic, or visitors to your website who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer. That’s why you need to make sure those keywords are used in your content.”

Marko then moves on to the second of his steps for SEO, which is to build keyword-focused pages on a business website. He says this is the natural next step after coming up with a list of relevant keywords. The idea, he states, is to craft multiple webpages on a website based on those keywords. Different keywords can be the focus of different pages, which should have content using those keywords as topics. The business’s products and services should be woven into the content too, of course. Marko says this is to ensure that there is content available for each keyword, thus allowing the business’s target audience to find its website easily on search engines, no matter which of those keywords they search for.

To that end, Marko says business owners can follow the third of his search engine optimization tips for a business website. This is to set up a blog.

“A blog is one of the most useful pieces of online property you can have,” says Marko. “Every blog post gives you a chance to engage with your target customers, building a connection with them. More than that, it also gives you a chance of getting your website to rank higher in the search engine results pages. Furthermore, a blog keeps your brand looking active, so consumers will never wonder if you’re still operating.”

Marko advises his readers to set up their blogs based on the list of keywords they made in step 1 of his guide on how to SEO website. He also says they can use their blog to get started on the fourth step of his website optimization guide, which is to create a link-building plan.

Marko explains that link-building is the process of building up inbound links, or links that lead to the reader’s website from other websites. He says there are many ways to do this but that one of the best is by sharing and exchanging links with other websites.

“Blog post pages are great resources for this,” Marko states. “That’s because if you have a great blog post, people are more likely to be willing to link to it. That’s also why you want to focus on creating great content. It draws links naturally, and with more links, you can get higher search engine results page placement. Inbound links can also improve your traffic as people from other websites end up on yours.”

Finally, Marko tells his readers to monitor and analyze their SEO metrics as the last step to doing website SEO. Marko claims this is important if they want to be able to improve their strategies. It also gives them an idea of what strategies are working and should be sustained or repeated.
