The new HP DesignJet T1600 36-inch Postscript Printer is designed to enhance CAD and GIS projects by producing professional quality prints. It has a capacity of six 300ml ink cartridges; namely Matte Black, Photo Black, Gray, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow, which can achieve a wider color gamut that is ideal for ultra-high-definition color graphics, architectural prints, maps, renders, and technical drawings. The DesignJet T1600 also produces darker blacks and true neutral grays on plans, drawings, and maps with a resolution up to 2400 dpi. In addition, it features a 100-sheet output stacking tray which delivers flat, collated prints, and a media roll of 100 meters, allowing users to print without interruption. Furthermore, it prints at 19 seconds per A1 page and features secure printing offered by the HP JetAdvantage Security Manager. According to HP, users of the new DesignJet T1600 can also enjoy faster and quieter performance compared to other large-format inkjet printers in this price range. The T1600 also allows direct printing from USB flash drive with this postscript version, printing from shared network folders, and email printing, among others. It is also compatible with a wide range of devices and comes with HP drivers for Windows, HP Print Service for Android, Apple AirPrint driver for macOS and iOS, HP Print for Chrome OS, HP Click, and the HP Smart App for both iOS and Android.

HP also designed the new large format printer to provide ready to use multi-stacking up to 100 A1. Notably, it comes with HP Secure Boot and Whitelisting to help keep the user’s network protected while the HP JetAdvantage Security Manager enables secure printing.
