Surf Till 100 Developing Surfing Environmental Leaders

Surf Till 100, based in Princeville, Hawaii, has announced a new leadership program. The organization recently announced that they are developing this program for those who want to live long and healthy lives to become responsible leaders in the world.

Tom Woods, one of the collaborators of the program along with Co-founders Champion Surfers Felipe Pomar and Jeff Hakman, says, “We want everyone to be healthier and live longer and happier lives. One of the ways to do this is to find a place in leadership. Woods says that the culture of the organization is one of the main focuses and one of the determining factors for a successful organization. “Our culture is who we are,” says Woods. “Culture is our DNA. It’s what we are made of and it is important to focus on that culture, particularly when developing leaders. We want leaders who have a strong vision, who have the right values. That’s what this program is all about.”

Surf Til 100 regularly hosts events, such as their expedition to Northern Peru that they will host in May of 2020. The organization centers around the thought that surfing can keep the body young and they regularly hold events that encourage others to learn the art of surfing and experience the excitement that it offers.

Some say that Surfing was created as an ancient means of worship to the ocean. It has been around for centuries and is one of the oldest sports in the world that is still being practiced today. Surfing is considered to be a very addictive sport and Woods says that once a person learns how to surf, they never want to stop. He adds that surfing is not just for the young in body. In fact, there are a number of surfers around the world, including his partners Jeff Hakman and Felipe Pomar, who are past 70 years of age and who are still very active in the sport.
