The National Association of Realtors is predicting that the real estate market will be rather modest during 2019. Danielle Hale, the chief economist for the National Association of Realtors says, “With yet another year of strong demand for housing, we expect sales to be driven upward by the increase in job growth and overall confidence of consumers.”
What this equates to is that buyers now have confidence that they did not before in the housing market and their job security as well. This confidence is encouraging them to finally make moves to buy a home. Having built up equity allows sellers to have enough money from selling their home to be able to afford a down payment on their next purchase.
While the most recent forecasts for the housing market lean toward the positive end, this does not indicate that sellers will be able to sell their homes with ease.
