The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy, located in Samara, Nicoya, Costa Rica, has just announced a promotion to help new students make the transition to school in Costa Rica and help them acclimate to life abroad before the intensity of school begins. They are offering a free week of lodging and activities prior to the start of the September 2015 session, for incoming students.
Tammy McGee, Director of Admissions, had this to say: "The opportunity to spend a week immersed in the culture before diving into coursework is incredible and we feel it will help students get acquainted with Costa Rica and our little town of Samara. Furthermore, we think it will give students perspective on the town and culture they have chosen to call home for the next four months. We want to help them ease into their new life before they dive into the rigors of an intensive, accelarted course. We belive this will help to set our students up for a successful semester."
The school offers two 4 month intensive sessions a year, one in September and one in January. The goal of the intensive "immersion" trainings is to teach students to demonstrate a practical working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology. As well as to exhibit the ability to use critical thinking skills to integrate the knowledge of these sciences within a client-centered massage. The school also offers additional workshops and training throughout the year, including Thai Yoga and a month long Yoga teacher training conducted in the summer. Classes are held in two beautiful outdoor classrooms.
The week includes 7 days and 7 nights of lodging and activities. Activities will include a Samara walking tour, a group spanish lesson, a local cooking class, morning yoga classes, an eco-hike, and a sunset meditation. The free week begins August 25, 2015 and goes through September 1, 2015. To be eligible students must register for and attend the September 2015 session, which begins September 1, 2015.
The week is valued at $1,398.00 and is filling up. As of this writing there were six spots remaining. To reserve your spot or for more information on the promotion visit their website or call Tammy McGee directly at 1-800-770-9893 ext. 1.
