Scottsdale Country Club Introduces Farm to Table Experience

The Community Garden at Scottsdale Country Club provides produce to The Club’s New Restaurant

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Scottsdale Country Club is proud to announce that it has recently acquired ownership of the DC Ranch Community Garden. In an effort to keep the garden thriving and healthy, the agronomy team at The Club, has taken over the responsibilities. When the idea was proposed to The Scottsdale Country Club Executive Chef, Lenny Rubin, to take over the garden, he immediately knew what a wonderful opportunity it would be. With the recent opening of The Club’s new restaurant, The Ranch House, the Club can now offer a true farm to table experience with locally sourced, organic produce; grown just a mile from the clubhouse.

Chef Lenny has partnered with local business owners, Heather and Bryan Syzmura, who own Twisted Infusions, a company that farms seasonal, exotic produce around the state of Arizona. “Growing from seed to harvest allows for greater control over the food supply, and provides a clear story of exactly how food is grown,” states Twisted Infusion.

The Country Club at DC Ranch is excited to team up with Copper Ridge and the Community in the near future to have on-site demonstrations and education at the garden for students and residents. The partnership between The Club, school, and community, truly demonstrates what means to be a thriving neighborhood of people and businesses who care.

The Ranch House restaurant, which is part of The Club’s new fitness and pool facility, will offer casual, healthy items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This will truly be a farm to table experience. Members will not have to guess where their produce came from as it will come from their community backyard.
