A Dallas, Texas based health insurance agency has published a post that is designed to help freelancers in choosing the right health insurance. The article discusses points to consider when leaving a job with full health benefits to become a freelancer, which involves purchasing one’s own insurance coverage.

Brian Neal, a representative for the agency says, “Freelancer health insurance is not necessarily difficult to find, but one does need to know where and how to search for it.”

Statistics show that the number of people who are leaving full time jobs to become freelancers grows every year. Given the number of jobs today that allow for working remotely, the number of those who work from a home office has grown substantially over the past few years, as has the need for insurance coverage for those who are not covered under a company plan.

“People choose to freelance because they are tired of the 9 to 5 life,” says Neal. “We understand that, but we also understand that it can be difficult to find health insurance coverage for those who freelance. Some people don’t even know where to begin to find coverage that is not included in a company plan, and that’s why we’re here.”

Neal says that losing health insurance coverage can be frightening, particularly for those who are unsure of where to get single coverage. When one chooses to freelance, they are essentially working for themselves, so they must choose their own individual coverage.

Neal states that Key Health Plans, located in Dallas, can help. He states that the first thing a freelancer will need to do is to contact the company to speak with a qualified and experienced agent who can help them to determine how much coverage they need and what type of coverage is best. Neal says that the newly published article discusses these options, as well as what freelancers need to consider regarding income taxes and lifestyle changes before they give up their 9 to 5 job.

“Not everyone is cut out for freelancing,” says Neal. “Some people would rather have their taxes simplified, which is basically what they get when they are working for someone else. Some may not have the motivation and self-discipline that is needed to be their own boss. This article is written to help people to better understand what they will need to do in order to freelance and if they do decide to begin freelancing, what they will need to do in order to ensure that they have adequate health insurance coverage.”

Neal states that anyone who is considering giving up a regular job for freelancing should do their research and ensure that this is truly what they want. He adds that those who do choose freelancing can contact the agency to speak with an insurance professional to learn more about their health coverage options, and he urges them to do so before their current insurance coverage with their current job runs out.

Neal adds that all of their agents have years of experience in life and health insurance, as well as in various clinical settings, which gives them an edge when it comes to helping their clients to find and choose the right coverage options. He states that their agents can offer advice to clients on their Medicare options and eligibility as well as regular health, group health and life insurance coverage, and various ancillary products.

The company has agents that are licensed in 47 states. Those who would like to learn more about the path to freelancing can visit the company online and read their recently published article. Those who are interested in learning more about their insurance coverage options can also visit the company online to learn more to contact them directly by phone during their normal business hours to speak with an experienced and licensed insurance agent who can help them to choose the right coverage for their individual needs.
