The designer, Laura, describes some of the challenges that the design faced saying, "The design brief seemed relatively simple, but the client had an extensive wish list for their new kitchen dreams." She added, "We are used to working with specific needs and wishes with clients, and we always strive to deliver the best results as possible, working around the limitations found throughout the process. In this case, the space was fairly small, but the kitchen needed to feel generous, spacious, and seamless with integrated technology and appliances. It needed to be clutter free and to show reference to the existing traditional architecture."

Laura decided to resolve these problems by working around them, utilizing the stunning architectural base that had been lovingly kept and maintained. As a part of their strategy, Blue Tea decided to incorporate the architecture that was already in place, mixing the old and the new to a stunning effect.

Laura said, "We wanted to make the kitchen look and feel spacious despite it being a small and limited space. Integrating appliances and technology made it feel clutter free. We wanted to showcase our clients love of food, family, and entertainment goals, whilst also enhancing the existing traditional detailing of the space.
